Because I changed, my situation changed
Think More Know Less - #57
So many times I would ask myself “Why is this happening to me?”
“When is this situation going to change?”

It took me long to realize that I am in control of most things that happen to me.
For the things I cannot control, I control how I let that thing affect me.

I always thought “energy levels” were a bunch of nonsense or some hippy thing.
Until I started listening and reflecting on how certain activities and interactions affect my mood and energy.
Like going for a hike with a friend to talk about goals and growth. This is a stimulating exercise even though it is physically exhausting.
Sitting in a dimly lit room with people talking gossip about others, drains my energy and makes me feel tired, bored and uninterested.
I don’t think it’s rude to not hang out with people who tax your energy, you’re doing yourself a favour :)
